Change A Karaoke Singer Into A Real Artist?

Tag: Kareoke singer to real artistadmin @ 1:56 pm

Many people can sing karaoke and with a little bit of vocal ability do a pretty good imitation of their favorite singer.

Karaoke singers usually fail miserably at being in live bands and even worse at original material.

This is because most karaoke singers vocal production is based on an imitation of their favorite singer.

They often haven’t learned to sing in key with music without their favorite singers original vocal for a mental reference.  They are simply singing from memory, after singing along to a CD over and over, singing along to the original artist. They also haven’t learned to shape their vocal tone based or real vocal techniques, instead they base them on, “I do this and I sound like my favorite singer.”

To transition from just being a karaoke imitation to really being a singer, the karaoke singer needs to learn to vocalize to plain scales.   At first the karaoke singer should just hum the scales and feel the resonant inflections.  This will start to teach them to make pitch without thinking of an imitation.

If you can hum a pitch you should be able to sing it.   After humming the scale or pitch, the singer should experiment with opening their mouth into a sung tone.  Sing as if humming with the mouth open. This will be the most natural and pure voice of the singer, with no fake imitations of a another’s singers vocal tone.

From the there the singer should sing something of their own creation without music and experiment with what they can do with their voice without trying to sound like their favorite singer.

To really learn to sing and not just imitate the singer should learn professional vocal techniques.   To learn professional vocal techniques go to www.vocalrelease.com    They offer a course that contains the most clear, concise singing instruction you can get.
